After the audit

If non-compliance is found at audit, ASQA will notify you in writing. You will be provided with a copy of the audit report and/or Notice of Intent regarding ASQA actions proposed.

You may have 20 working days to provide additional or amended evidence to demonstrate full compliance. If you do not do this, your application may be rejected or ASQA may take regulatory action in relation to your registration, for example, by suspending or placing conditions upon your registration.

Apply to withdraw registration

You will be required to explain the arrangements you have made for the completion or transfer of any current students.
(If you are also seeking to withdraw your registration as a Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) provider, you will need to submit a separate application to withdraw your CRICOS registration.

ASQA makes decisions about:

• The registration of training providers as registered training organisations (RTOs)
• The accreditation of vocational education and training (VET) courses, and
• The registration of certain providers of education and training on CRICOS to provide courses to overseas students

If you are not satisfied with a decision made by ASQA, you have a number of options.

Review by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT)

Decisions made under the NVR Act

You may have the right to:

• Ask for the reasons for the decision (if not already given), and
• Have the decision reviewed by the AAT in accordance with section 203 of the NVR Act

As part of the review application, an application can also be made to the AAT for a stay of ASQA's decisions.
